Sara received the sacrament of Confirmation yesterday at our church, St. Mary of the Lakes here in Medford. Uncle Rob was her sponsor (and her Godfather 🙂 so it was especially great to have him with us… the ceremony was officiated by Monsignor Tofani who told a compelling story of a young teen that resided at “Anchor House” a home for abused teens and women. Brought things down to earth for the kids in a very “Pope Francis” sort of way. All good. Our parish had 132 teens receiving confirmation at the 4:00 ceremony followed by another 126 at 7pm. Quite an impressive stand for their Catholic faith, Msgr Tofani also noted 🙂
Enjoy the pics! Oh, and Sara chose Saint Isabel for her Confirmation name in gratitude for her Portuguese heritage and family on the west coast 🙂 All in all a very nice afternoon!
Great photos – The little girls are all grown up….good to see the Weill family together in one photo with the California godfather. He is very proud to fulfill his obligations to his godchild and hopefully will be at her wedding, etc.
PS Tell Noelle her legs are getting much too long – must be all the extensions in her ice skating routines which we will get to see in May! Love to all
