You can’t keep up with the multitude of festivals, rituals, celebrations and parties that Nepal people have almost on a daily basis. Nepal is a hindu country (they say the only hindu country in the world – just don’t tell India…) and when you add in Buddhism and all the other religions, it is a party place. And, often with little notice. Sitting at work one day, a coworker invited the office over to her family’s house for her son’s hair cutting ceremony, and it turned out the whole neighborhood was there, and her whole extended family, and everyone was all decked out. Considering most of them have tough commutes home, it’s just amazing how much they get together. The guest of honor little 4 year old boy is in the black hat, sad after his first buzzcut. I think he’s upset to have the same haircut as me!
