Micaela and Nathan are overjoyed to announce the birth of their son, Peter Williamson Freitas. (Eliza is still figuring things out)
Peter was born at 6:52am on August 28th, after a very speedy labor and delivery. Thank goodness the drive from Brookline to Cambridge was done early in the morning, as it necessitated running not just a few red lights.
Some quick stats: 8 lbs, 2 oz, 21 in long, dark brown fuzzy hair and eyebrows… eye color to-be-determined.
So far, Eliza is (most of the time) very excited to be a big sister, and is working hard at being gentle when she smothers her brother with kisses. She is a great assistant at the diaper changing station. Compared to his sister’s alertness at this age, we’re betting that our sleepy and calm little man is going to be one chill dude.
Named in honor of Micaela’s late father, Peter, and for her great-grandmother on the Smith side (Martha Williamson), the name also has special significance for the Freitas family as São Pedro is the patron saint of their Portuguese family park and association in Sacramento.
Stay tuned for the launch of Eliza and Peter’s joint new, social media, interwebs mobile insta-presence/site/app!
