The day finally came! Sara graduated from St. Mary of the Lakes School (8th grade) and will move on to Bishop Eustace Prep High School in September. This ends 11 years of our family’s attendance at the school, although it will continue to be our parish and home of the girls Sr. High Youth Group. Sara was recognized at the Graduation Mass as the “Top Overall Scholar” of her class, Presidential Academic Excellence and receiving the top scholarship of $7500 yearly from Bishop Eustace based on her score on their scholarship exam she sat for last October. She also had the top score on the Eustace English Placement exam of the incoming Freshmen (Noelle also received this honor when she entered Eustace 2 years ago!).
Sara is excited about high school. She will join Noelle in the fine arts department, although she will be playing violin on the orchestra side, while Noelle will doing vocals on the choir side…you may find them both at the theatre though with Noelle on-stage and Sara in the orchestra pit next spring! Sara will also play on the Eustace Tennis team this fall and enter school with a full honors load… She already “shadowed” at the school and Noelle had a lot of fun dragging her around and introducing her to all her favorite teachers. Sara will always be Noelle’s “baby”… she is so proud of her – we all are.
Sara’s class has been so busy with Graduation traditions including a trip to NYC, Graduation Dance and parties, parties, parties… We are blessed. They are good kids. Enjoy the pics!
