Mom and Dad are getting a present today that is the results of my
firstly “alpha test” of a project I have undertaken to create a 3D model
of San Pedro. Once modeled, it can be published online for historic
record, used in virtual reality historic simulations, and 3D printed in
a variety of sizes and materials. You could theoretically print a life
size copy, or someday, attend a virtual festa in a future holodeck!
For now, I have gotten about halfway through the chapel. It is very
simple for now, as I am still learning how to model for printing, but it
is possible to add a lot of detail, including mini benches and a St.
Peter statue. I also want to model the Ride!
I will publish the models online so anyone can order, copy, modify and
print their own.
Robert picked up a version of the chapel, sans roof, I had printed by
3dhubs.com in Sacramento… It felt like the future being able to
“teleport” my digital model and have it appear as printed atoms at some
guys house near Pocket!
Anyhow, some fun photos and video here:

Boas Festas!
