Although we live in Asia, it still takes awhile to get to Japan but a few weeks back we took Marisa to see her grandparents, and it was long overdue. Tokyo is surprisingly more kid friendly these days, partly due to efforts at making the city more elderly friendly and adding elevators to subways, and lots of new little parks everywhere. Miyoko stayed for a week with Marisa in her old room, and Marisa impressed her grandparents with her extensive knowledge of names of animals in signlanguage. We’ll get back there again soon. Marisa even enjoyed her first ramen shop!
