We had a fantastic time in beautiful Goa. The best part was that Uncle Tony & Auntie Patricia came along! It was a bit of an arduous journey to get down there from Dharamsala–8-hour car ride to Amritsar, Flight to Delhi next day, flight to Goa day after that. We were VERY happy to spend lots of time on the beach at our lovely, quiet and low-key eco resort. Cabins steps from the beach, fabulous food and cocktails, toddler pool and toys for Eliza–what more could you want, really? Eliza loved the ocean and we literally had to drag her out of the waves each night. The food was incredible everywhere we went–from fancy upscale restaurants catering to the (mainly) European tourists and wealthy Indians in from Mumbai and Punjab, to the shacks we stumbled upon on the beach. From exploring the markets with hundreds of stalls and vendors selling everything India-related imaginable, to visiting cities with crumbling Portuguese buildings and wide boulevards, it was really a magical place. And warm! We are really missing the good weather up here in our chilly hill town now…already plotting a return trip sometime soon.
