As always, lots going on down here in southwest florida (here's a quick tip: Stock up on orange juice! It is still way too cold for this to be the sunshine state.) We took a quick trip up to DC to see a friend that had some surgery and stopped by Barry's house to say hello, but we've spent most of winter checking out birds in our backyard and growing veggies. Miyoko will give gardening and kayak lessons to all visitors! Herons, Ospreys, Curlews, Cranes, Turkey (and black) vultures, and even a few snakes...Florida is never boring on the animal side. We even saw our first wild alligator, just floating in a pond along a bike trail. I skipped the water break at that one! See the link to all the photos!
